I am on day 3 of Whole 30, not too far in but hey I am still quite happy with myself. One of my girlfriends brought over a bunch of lemons for my house warming party so I have been taking full advantage of having them laying around. I take about a third of the lemon and squeeze the juices out into my water and plop the lemon in the glass.
For breakfast I have been having an egg bake. About three eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, broccoli, and green beans. Seeing as I can not have ketchup I am topping it with hot sauce. Don’t worry I checked the label, just vinegar and spices.Lunch has consisted of baked chicken with a salad. I have no lettuce so I am doing broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and green onions. For the dressing I am using EVOO, apple cider vinegar, season salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.Dinner so far has been turkey breasts or steak with cooked veggies. With the turkey I sweat onions until they were sweet, added in some broccoli, fresh garlic, and a little bit of salt.With the steak I cooked up broccoli and spinach and mixed it up with my favorite thai seasoning. Basically sea salt and a mix of fresh hearbs from the CSA box I used to get.Snacks have included bananas, kiwis, and tangelos. So far I have been a happy camper. It is only mid morning day 3 though so I will be sure to update you farther in. The good so far has been my belly! I wake up and holy crow is it flat. I don’t hate it.
