Yesterday started out less than stellar. I have been experiencing a really strange shooting pain up the back of my leg when I am walking. As of now it is gone but yesterday it was not fun at all. I started my day at work out by keep my leg on a chair and icing.It continued to be annoying so when I was able to carve 20 minutes out to go to the gym before my last PT appointment I knew I needed something that completely ignored my legs. I came up with this bad boy and holy shnitzel am I SOREEEEE today.I used 25lb weights to bench press, a 15lb weight for overhead drops, and 10lbs for the arm raises. Owwwww. I also timed this and it was exactly 20 minutes!
Afterwords I went to PT, enjoyed my last knee massage, worked out, and was discharged. Honestly it was a little bitter sweet.
I was introduced to Stephanie by her hubby, who just happens to be the captain of my soccer team! She was awesome and I will miss seeing her every week. I am excited that PT will no longer be in my my monthly budget though! I’ll just have to convince her to hang out with me outside of work sometime… With 2 boys under the age of 3, a husband, and being the head of the clinic I doubt that will happen : )
If you ever find yourself needing PT and you live in the area I HIGHLY recommend you go see her. I also worked with another therapist there (Amy) when Stephanie was on vacation once and she was great too.
