It has been 5 months my friends since I was last able to run outside and be a happy camper. I attempted a run / walk a few weeks ago but wore the wrong clothes and was miserable. Yesterday was a totalllly different story.I am admittedly quite a bit slower than I was back in April BUT it has been 5 months of no running. I thought the first outdoor run would be closer to a 10+ pace so I’ll take it. I was super excited about all of this and decided to take a million and one selfies out on my balcony for your viewing pleasure. I think from now on I should run, hang out outside for 45 minutes THEN take pictures. My hair looks much better in this photo shoot than some of my mid work out pictures. I am a sweaty beast.Don’t you love how creative I am with the watch by my wounded knee. The total mileage of 3.28 is totally bogus I know. I actually ran from my house to the dog park to meet up with Brennan and Sasha. We saw the MOST ADORABLE 14 week old Siberian Husky. Huskies and German Shepherds are my most favorite dogs in the whole wide world. This Husky (his name was Gunner) felt like the fluffiest and softest stuffed animal in the world. I wanted to take him home with me and snuggle SOOOOO bad. I let his owners keep him though, high fives all around. A Husky will definitely be the next addition to my household. Not anytime soon but it will happen. I am sure Jax will be thrilllled. NOT.Also, how itty bitty is that scar?? My orthopedic is mad at me for not keeping it covered in the sun because it is making it purple and he wants it to go away. I personally don’t mind. I have a million scars, a little baby mark like that is nothing in the grand scheme of my body canvas.
I plan on trying to run again tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow’s run will be magical. It is Sasha’s birthday and her / my official proper start date to running. Brennan will be joining as well, we are all super excited.
Q: Do you run alone / with friends / with a significant other?
Q: What time of day do you prefer to take selfies??? (hahah)
