I would say in general I am a pretty consistent worker outer. Yes that is a type of person (just run with it). Well on Tuesday I ventured to the gym after work and realized “Holy crap I haven’t worked out since last Wednesday…”. That is FIVE days people, what in the world.
A perfect storm of traveling, rain, my knee feeling less than stellar, aunt flo visiting, and being exhausted assaulted me during that five day period (no pun intended, mwahaha). I crafted a work out that would kick my butt and hopefully jump start my gym routine and stop making me stare at chocolate like I am under hypnosis. The circuit for the day was borrow from Julie and it was fantastic. Jump squats were feeling less than comfortable on my knee so instead I did regular squats and rose up onto my toes at the top. She also had low rows on there and I didn’t have a machine handy so I subbed in supermans. I am super special and some how skipped from jumping jacks to bicycle crunches… and then to bicep curls. I have no clue what my eyes were doing. In the end I did all the exercises and for the second set I went from the bottom of the list to the top in perfect order. It was a sweat-tastic time.
Before the circuit I hopped on the treadmill, walked for 5 minutes, and ran for 20!! Yes you heard that… RAN. My 4 month is on Saturday and I have made the executive decision that a few days won’t make a difference. 8 minutes abs never happened though because I ran out of time.
I wasn’t sore Wednesday but I sure was tired. I ended up napping before PT and put in less than a stellar work out. Actually it was probably fine I was just sleepy. Today I am finally sore and uber happy about it. After reading a post by Janae earlier this week a phrase she mentioned has stuck with me:Sweating it out made me get out of my funk this week within minutes of finishing my work out.
Q: What type of salt water would cure any woes you have right now?
